Volunteer Program Coordinator - Part-time
The Volunteer department of Jewish Family & Children’s Service is looking for a part-time multi-tasker with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, effective teamwork, experience with volunteer programs, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate volunteers for weekly program needs, to provide administrative support for all volunteer programs and events and attend community events throughout the year. Candidates should be willing to handle office tasks including phone calls, email, background and motor vehicle checks for new volunteers, updating spreadsheets in Excel and aid in tracking volunteer hours.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, professional and attentive. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Creativity a plus.
Responsibilities: Coordinating weekly volunteer activities and providing administrative support for all volunteer programs and events.
Requirements: Highly organized and strong interpersonal skills required. Attention to detail a must.
