Transportation Coordinator - Part-time
The Volunteer department of Jewish Family & Children’s Service is looking for a part-time multi-tasker with excellent communication skills, knowledge of volunteer programs, and demonstrated understanding of social services. Candidates should be willing to handle office tasks including phone calls, email, and website inquiries from both clients and volunteers with a quiet demeanor, patience, kindness, and a positive attitude.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, professional and attentive. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and be willing to learn a web-based user-friendly transportation software.
Responsibilities: Answering calls from clients and taking requests from social workers and connecting volunteers to ride requests in a timely manner as part of our free volunteer transportation program.
Maintain polite and timely communication with clients and volunteers.
Requirements: Highly organized and strong interpersonal skills required. Attention to detail a must.
Job Type: Part- Time (10 hours per week)
Volunteer experience preferred
