Jewish Family & Children's Service
Primary Responsibility: Generate articles and press releases, interface with media, produce newsletters and annual reports, market agency to raise funds to meet agency goals increase event attendance, produce website and social media content, and other tasks. Identify and develop opportunities to increase and market community awareness and use of Agency programs and services.
Specific Responsibilities:
Marketing & PR Practices
  1. Implement branding of agency – establish guidelines & monitor adherence
  2. Marketing  Plans – help plan marketing strategies with program facilitators for individual programs as well as strategies for overall agency marketing
  3. Curate videos and photo ops – develop gallery of audio/visual materials to be used for marketing purposes
  4. Implement community and media relations outreach, cultivate relationships with press affiliates, reporters, local organizations
Develop and Distribute Collateral
  1. Write and oversee design of content for printed materials: 
  2. Annual Report
  3. Thank You Letters
  4. Newsletters – weekly, quarterly
  5. Newspaper Articles
  6. Press Releases and Media Alerts
  7. Advertisements
  8. Flyers
  9. Brochures
  10. Friends Campaign
  11. Solicitation Packets
  12. Speeches
Online Communications
  1. Design and oversee implementation of SEO and Google search strategies
  2. Oversee /implement the content and navigation direction of the JFCS website and social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Constant Contact, LinkedIn, Instagram and others
  3. Create and oversee online fundraising and advertising campaigns
Project Management
  1. Oversee the content creation & day-to-day project scheduling of in-house graphic designer /web coordinator
  2. Develop & implement guidelines for internal marketing protocol / requests within agency
  3. Manage seasonal interns and their work flow
  4. Develop an editorial and marketing calendar yearly for staff and board
Relationship with Others: Will work closely with Funds Development Department, JFCS Board members, liaison to Federation and its agencies, area synagogues and other Jewish organizations.
  1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  2. Experience in public relations and marketing work
  3. Strong writing and communications skills
  4. Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver all on time
  5. Ability to work with people at all levels
  6. Detail oriented with strong follow-through
