Join us for a welcoming interactive Shabbat service, a light lunch and planting activity to promote Jewish Disabilities Awareness Month.
11:00 am – Interactive Service
11:50 am – Light Lunch
12:15 pm – Planting & Creative Arts
12:15 pm – Discussion for Caregivers with Dr. Dan Gottlieb
Following the service and lunch, attendees with Special Needs can participate in a Tu B’Shevat project supported by volunteers, while their caregivers participate in an important and supportive discussion led by prominent psychologist, Dr. Daniel Gottlieb, who will focus on issues of compassion and “compassion fatigue” in care giving. Open to all those who give care to any person — a child, a parent, a sibling... Dr. Gottlieb will highlight how ALL families have some special needs, and how caregivers need to nurture themselves. You may attend any or all portions of this program. Free & open to the community. RSVP required by January 30, so we may adequately prepare.
