Rabbi Adam Lautman

At Temple Har Zion, we consider ourselves to be spiritual seekers and learners. We consider G!d to be an active presence in our lives, accessible to all of us. We create a warm and supportive environment that inspires people to celebrate our ancient and sacred connections.

Our spiritual leader is Rabbi Adam Lautman. Rabbi Adam is inspired to guide people towards an inclusive Judaism, Torah, and G!d they connect with. His approach to education and Judaism is one that allows room to question, wonder, be empowered, and explore. Some of his Judaic interests include theology and spirituality, queer/LGBTQ commentary, midrash, Hebrew, and Jewish history.

THZ is a non-denominational Jewish congregation with Conservative-style services, as well as twice-monthly spiritually uplifting Renewal-style Shabbat services.

At THZ, we see prayer not as something that happens on the bima on our behalf, but that it is most meaningful when we do it actively, from the heart, in community. We participate actively with the rabbi and find a deep, spiritual connection doing so.

We are committed to remaining a small congregation. Our congregants appreciate the opportunity for everyone to be actively involved in all facets of synagogue life.
